Vasant Ramlaggan

Dr. Vasant Ramlaggan is an experienced dentist in Toronto with 27 years of active practice. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Ramlaggan specializes in various areas, including orthodontics with aligners and braces, cosmetic treatments such as crowns and veneers, sleep apnea and snoring appliances, gum surgeries, and root canal treatments. He is also proficient in TMD (jaw disorder) treatments and fully impacted wisdom teeth removals.

Dr. Ramlaggan is particularly recognized for his expertise in full mouth reconstructions, where he restores severely damaged teeth and jaws to create functional and aesthetically pleasing smiles. He is dedicated to using the latest techniques and technologies to provide the best possible care to his patients.

Dr. Ramlaggan obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York, School of Dental Medicine, a top-ranked dental school. Prior to that, he completed his Specialist Honours B.Sc. in Microbiology and Human Biology at the University of Toronto.

Although he had the opportunity to pursue residency programs in the United States, Dr. Ramlaggan chose to return to his Southern Ontario community to complete a one-year Special Care Dentistry program. During this time, he gained extensive experience in caring for patients with disabilities. Dr. Ramlaggan is also involved in educating fellow dentists, having given lectures on topics such as Smoking Cessation and Dental Lasers.

Originally from Niagara Falls, Dr. Ramlaggan has made the Toronto area his home for most of his adult life. He is happily married and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children. In his free time, he practices Iyengar Yoga, indulges in reading and Sci-Fi interests, barbecuing, and cherishes moments with his family and friends.
