Qi Shen

Dr. Qi Shen is a dedicated dentist practicing at Empress Dentistry. He grew up in Richmond Hill, Ontario, after immigrating to Canada at a young age. Dr. Shen completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Melbourne in Australia. After graduating in 2017, he returned to Toronto to join his family and begin his dental practice.

Dr. Shen is fluent in both English and Mandarin, allowing him to effectively communicate with a diverse range of patients. He takes great pride in his ability to interact with patients and make them feel comfortable during their dental visits. Dr. Shen believes in the importance of educating his patients about their treatment options, taking the time to discuss the reasons for treatment and ensuring they have a clear understanding of their dental health. This approach helps establish trust and build strong relationships with his patients.

To further enhance his skills and knowledge in dentistry, Dr. Shen has pursued additional courses in Nitrous oxide and oral sedation, as well as Oral Surgery for the General Practitioner. This commitment to continuing education allows him to provide comprehensive and up-to-date care to his patients.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Shen appreciates the open and multicultural environment that Toronto offers. He enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly taking his dogs out for hikes. Dr. Shen also has a passion for cooking and enjoys exploring culinary creations in his free time.
