Mahziar Shahzad Dowlatshahi

Dr. Maziar Shahzad Dowlatshahi is a highly accomplished and board-certified dentist in Richmond Hill. With a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a Registered General License from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), he is recognized for his expertise and commitment to providing exceptional dental care.

Dr. Dowlatshahi's dental journey began in Tehran, Iran, where he earned his D.D.S degree from Shahid Beheshti University, one of the most prestigious dental schools in the country, in 1994. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Periodontics and a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from the same institution. In 2013, he moved to Canada and successfully received his equivalent General License from the RCDSO.

Continuously seeking to expand his knowledge and skills, Dr. Dowlatshahi has pursued advanced training in various areas of dentistry. He holds certificates in Advanced Bone Augmentations from the University of Bern in Switzerland and advanced Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) from the University of Vienna in Austria. Additionally, he has a fellowship in implant dentistry from DentalXP Globe in the United States.

With a wealth of experience and expertise, Dr. Dowlatshahi has performed over 15,000 complex implant surgeries throughout his career. He has a passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with fellow dentists, regularly delivering international lectures, webinars, and hands-on training sessions. In line with his commitment to education, he recently founded the Implant Diary Study Club, where he teaches modern implant techniques to students and dentists.

Dr. Dowlatshahi's dedication to dentistry extends beyond clinical practice. He has invented software that utilizes logistic regression and artificial intelligence to aid in diagnosing, treating, and predicting outcomes of periodontal diseases. Furthermore, he nurtures his passion for art outside of dentistry and has written and directed plays for live theatre.
