Katayoun Esfahanizadeh

Dr. Katayoun (Kathy) Esfahanizadeh is a highly experienced dentist in Vaughan, specializing in pediatric dentistry. She graduated as a general dentist in 1993 from Mashhad, Iran, and soon after pursued her passion for working with children by obtaining a specialty in Pediatric Dentistry from Shahid Beheshti (Melli) University of Medical Sciences in 1998.

Dr. Kathy's enthusiasm for academics and staying updated in her field led her to a teaching position at Azad University of Medical Sciences while she was still a student. She became a full-time assistant professor in 1998 and provided clinical instructions to graduate and postgraduate students for 20 years. In recognition of her excellence in teaching, she received the "Students' Choice Award" for being the best teacher in the Pediatric Department in 2003. Additionally, she became the first Postgraduate Director of the Pedodontic Department at Azad University after the program was launched in 2008.

Dr. Kathy has also been actively involved in volunteer work at the Vardavard Welfare Centre, where she provided comprehensive dental care to physically and mentally challenged children for many years. She further enhanced her skills in caring for children with special needs by obtaining a fellowship degree in "Hospital Dentistry" at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. However, she strongly believes that gentle, loving care is more effective than any medication when it comes to handling children in dentistry.
