Dr. Frank Procopio is a highly accomplished dentist in Vaughan. Graduating from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1981, he was recognized with the prestigious Albert E. Webster Award for Clinical Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. Following his academic pursuits, Dr. Procopio held a position as an Associate Professor at the University Clinic and worked as a team member at the Toronto Dental Emergency Service.

In 1984, Dr. Procopio established his own private practice, specializing in cosmetic and family dentistry. With a focus on prevention, interceptive orthodontics, implantology, crown and bridge, and esthetic reconstruction, he has provided comprehensive care to his patients. Dr. Procopio further expanded his expertise by completing a surgical residency at the Nobel Biocare Institute, specifically for implant placement.

Dr. Procopio's commitment to excellence is demonstrated by his active involvement in professional organizations such as the International Orthodontic Association (IOA), the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AACD), the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), and the Ontario Dental Association (ODA). He also participates in various continuing education study groups and societies to stay at the forefront of the field.

Beyond his dental practice, Dr. Procopio has pursued a passion for research and innovation. He conducted a research project in laser bio-photonics at the UofT McLennan Physics Laboratory, co-inventing a hard-tissue dental laser device alongside oral pathologist Dr. Allan Dovigi. Their groundbreaking work resulted in a proof-of-principle and subsequent patent filing at the U.S. Patent Office. Dr. Procopio continues to engage in ongoing research in this area.

In recent years, Dr. Procopio has found a strong passion for the world of motion picture arts. He has achieved success as a writer and producer for the theatrical screen, mentoring the delivery of 14 short films that have garnered recognition at over 200 film festivals worldwide, earning more than 50 awards. Notably, his first feature-length screenplay launched the career of William Vince, who went on to produce the Oscar-winning film Capote (2005), starring the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
