Proper diet during orthodontics

Orthodontics is one of the methods of cosmetic dentistry. In this method, fixed orthodontic appliances are firmly attached to the teeth, which cannot be removed with regular food. What is the proper diet during orthodontics?

During the period of orthodontic treatment, eating hard foods should be avoided. In addition to them, stone fruits should not be eaten. To eat stone fruits, first, remove the stone, cut it into pieces, and enjoy. To eat all kinds of sandwiches, be sure to cut apples, chicken, and meat into individual pieces and then eat with your back teeth.

Sticky foods in general are the enemy of your brackets. If you tend to eat sticky foods with your new braces, you may have problems. Problems such as a lot of pain or even the separation of brackets from the teeth.

Note: Sticky foods are the enemy of your braces and if you try to chew them with your new braces, they will cause pain or even detach the braces from your teeth.

Some foods suitable for orthodontic braces include:

Boiled or baked potatoes, soft, well-cooked rice
Soft, well-cooked beans, soft bread without a hard crust, cornbread
Well-cooked and soft meat, without bones (chicken, turkey, etc.)
